She wanted me to make sure that everyone knew she is aware that there are more than three places in Canada. She will return for more Canadian stops in the future, but she was pretty sure that she was going to see Frank Sinatra while she was in Vegas…so there you have it.
The Jolie travelled to Las Vegas with the author of The Sunday Blog At Spencer Court. The Sunday Blog is unique because its author produces one good post per week – he has something to say in all his posts, unlike, say, me.
The Jolie enjoyed a fabulous five nights in Las Vegas. Her hotel was The Orleans, where its Mardi Gras 24/7 and she partied late into the night with Big Al’s Band.
The Jolie was thrilled to hit a Royal Straight Flush on a video poker machine. Unfortunately, it was a penny machine…

On Friday, I went through the lot of the local post office to drop something in the mail. That’s the sort of extravagant thing I do. I will spend forty-four cents to have someone bring something to someone else. I think the recipients are impressed by the gesture.
As I was driving out from making my grand gesture, I passed a white pick up truck. The owner had put lettering across the front to spell out the word MOVE in upper case letters. The word was spelled backward so as to be easily readable in the rear view mirror of cars in front of the truck. Read the rest of this entry »
The Jolie Pez Project: Iqaluit, Canada

Between them, these bloggers run three sites – that is an average of 1.5 blogs each (and they say I’m math averse). They have recently moved to Iqaluit, Nunavut and are writing about this big change in their lives at I’ll Have Nunavut. Some of you don’t know where Iqaluit is. It is waaay up there. If Canada is The Great White North, Iqaluit looks very North and very white.
The Jolie took on a little bow hunting in a lodge, with a polar bear that was already sort of…dead.
The Jolie Pez Project: Maryland and Panama City, FL

This was a historic visit because it marked the first time anyone has risked air travel with the Jolie. Those who have met The Jolie know what a daring move that was. Imagine what could go wrong moving The Jolie through an airport checkpoint. Given the risk, I am surprised that this post did not end up coming to me from a prison email account.
Overall I had a wonderful time with The Jolie…once we established that I was the boss and Alpha Female. I discovered that The Jolie just needed a firm hand and a lot of discipline. Just one day after receiving The Jolie, I left Maryland to travel to Panama City Beach, Florida. She wasn’t too keen on being packed up again so soon, but she handled it pretty well.
The Jolie insisted on having her picture taken with the beautiful Gulf water behind her. I wasn’t too excited about her standing on the 6th floor balcony railing. I know she’s Lara Croft and would have some way to save herself, but I didn’t like the unnecessary risk.
Whenever The Jolie got lippy, I shoved her in my pocket – head first so she couldn’t enjoy the lovely beach scenery.
Whenever The Jolie gave me attitude, I punished her…by making her dig a hole to China. Read the rest of this entry »
The Jolie Pez Project: Annapolis and College Park, Maryland & Washington D.C.

Over the course of their time together, Hippie thoroughly documented their adventures over on her blog and sent several highlights of their time to be displayed here on Blurt. Please take the time to look through Hippie’s work, I highly recommend it!
The Jolie arrived in time for dinner and enjoyed a glass of white wine and some light reading to help her relax after her travels.There was a small incident with the neighbors’ cat, but that’s what attorneys and homeowners insurance are all about, right?
