New York Times: “Signs of Neanderthals Mating With Humans” ……….. Joe Jackson: “Pretty Women Out Walking With Gorillas Down My Street.”

In browsing the net tonight, I spotted the New York Times headline Signs of Neanderthals Mating With Humans. I had to click on it, thinking it was a sarcastic comment on unfortunate dating and marital choices. It wasn’t.

This is Shoeless Joe Jackson. He has nothing to do with this.

Scientists  think the connection between neanderthals and humans happened between 100,000 and 60,000 years ago. Apparently the two species dated briefly somewhere in that window of time. Mr. and Ms. Labcoat have just figured this out.

Joe Jackson knew neanderthals mated with humans. He documented his findings in 1978.
